Meghan Trainor is expecting her first child with husband Daryl Sabara.
The ‘All About That Bass’ singer, 26, and Spy Kids actor, 28, revealed the news to fans in a post on Instagram today.
“You all know how long I’ve wanted this!!!! @darylsabara and I are so beyond happy and excited to meet this little cutie early next year! WE’RE PREGNANTTTTT!!!” Trainor wrote.
The father-to-be shared the same photo of the baby’s sonogram amidst Christmas decorations.
“I love you @meghan_trainor and I can’t wait to start a family with you,” he captioned his post.
The couple’s famous friends were quick to congratulate the pair, with Modern Family‘s Sarah Hyland writing, “STOPPPP OMGGGG!!!!!”
While Twilight star Taylor Lautner commented on Meghan’s post: “Huge congrats you two”.
“Yessssss mommmmmma so happy for you!!!,” Julianne Hough said of the baby news.
The excited parents-to-be also shared their news on the US Today Show.
While Trainor didn’t give away too much about the baby, she revealed she is over half-way through her pregnancy and says she feels lucky as it’s been “pretty easy so far”.
The singer told co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager that because of coronavirus, she’s had to go to her appointments solo so far but she is extremely excited.
“I do feel like I’m learning new things every single day,” she added. “I realised how amazing women are. We’re all like, women are superheroes. This is crazy.”
The couple met in 2016 after being set up by mutual friend and actress Chloë Grace Moretz and tied the knot in December 2018, in an intimate backyard wedding.
