At a moderately breezy open air location in downtown Toronto on Saturday night, the 2022 Doug Wright Award winners have been declared within the first in-person ceremony in three years.
Conundrum Press had a superb evening. From the 2022 Doug Wright Awards winners they bagged two of the 4 classes. Greatest Guide – Brigitte Archambault‘s The Shiatsung Mission – and being the writer of the Nipper Rising Expertise awardee Sami Alwani.
2022 Doug Wright Award winner for Greatest Guide was surveillance tradition critique The Shiatsung Mission.
Archambault’s debut e-book, initially printed in French with Éditions Mécanique Générale in 2019, was printed in English by Conundrum Press and translated by Aleshia Jensen.
On receiving the award, a moderately surprised Archambault stated,
“Thanks. It’s a shock. Thanks a lot for the award. I’m actually shocked…Thanks.”
Sami Alwani, 2022 Doug Wright Award winner for Rising Expertise, The Nipper, for The Pleasure of the Textual content stated:
“Thanks a lot… It is a large honour. I actually, actually admire it.

Goerz:
