People make it sound like it’s going to be torn down or something. It’s not. In fact, it can’t as it’s on the U.S. Register of Historic Buildings.
It’s an iconic and famous building. There are sure to be a slew of post-pandemic investors, including large (and boutique) hotel chains salivating at the thought of snapping it up with a view towards updating the interior of the facility and reopening in the future.
There is a massive pent-up desire for travel in the U.S., so when (if) there is finally a post-pandemic economy, hotels are going to benefit from that.
