Austen Kroll claimed ex-girlfriend Madison LeCroy hooked up with another famous person on Thursday night’s Watch What Happens Live.
After she suggested on an episode of the late-night talk show last week that Austen’s past romance with Lindsay Hubbard overlapped with their own “gray area,” the Southern Charm star fired back by suggesting that the only reason he pursued the Summer House cast member is due to Madison’s own relationship with another man.
“It was an easy cop-out for her to feel justified with all of the actions she’s done. The fact of the matter is Lindsay and I hooked up one time,” Austen explained on he July 21 episode of WWHL, denying the supposed overlap. “I could go into why it happened but I literally don’t want to create another headline.”
“She did something with somebody that is of notoriety and then I did what I did,” he continued, confirming he was not referring to Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez or Jay Cutler, both of whom Madison was linked to in late 2020 and early 2021, following their split.
Although Austen suggested the man was on a reality show and refused to name him by name, he did accuse Madison of lying about him telling her she “picked the wrong guy” after her engagement to Brett Randle.
“No. I [didn’t know] that his name’s Brett, by the way, until you just said that. No, no,“ he told Andy Cohen.
Then, while paying a game in which he was forced to chose between current flame Olivia Flowers and past and rumored flames Madison, Lindsay, Ciara Miller, Chelsea Meissner, Austen named Olivia as the “most romantic” and best gift-giver while slamming Madison as the “most vindictive.”
“Do I even have to say it? Madison,” he replied.
As for the rest of the ladies, he said Lindsay was most likely to become one of his lifelong friends and was also most likely to go for the idea of a threesome.
“Can I plead the fifth, or, do I say, I feel like… I know that Linds is so happy [with boyfriend Carl Radke] but she’s a wild child,” he stated.
While he and Lindsay went through some ups and downs in recent months, Austen confirmed the two of them made up at the Bravo Upfront earlier this year.
“We had a great chance to talk and I’m very happy with how she’s so happy and we just, we’re talking about how to figure out our relationship and how we should move forward together as friends and what that looks like. I’m pleased,” he revealed.
Austen also shared his thoughts on Shep Rose and Taylor Ann Green, who reportedly split earlier this month, after a caller who wanted to know what Craig Conover meant when he said that “all Taylor knows about is the campfire and there are landmines everywhere”
“Craig is a big time embellisher so you have to take things that he says with a grain of salt,” Austen explained. “Will Shep every be ready [to settle down]? That’s a good question that I think he asks himself often. He’s very honest about that, with himself and I think that’s the only thing you can see.”
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Austen offered an update on his up-and-down friendship with Craig, admitting that while he was highly offended and “very shocked” that Craig went to Kathryn Dennis, rather than him, after hooking up with ex-girlfriend Naomie Olindo, they’ve since gotten to a much better place of communication.
“Craig and I are now are great,” he confirmed. “We both are [guilty] of… We like to sweep things under the rug. I like to blame it on him but I also like to do that as well. And once we talked and told each other what was going on and what we should both do better, since then, I will tell you… Craig and I are great now.”
As for Craig’s relationship with Paige DeSorbo, Austen shut down rumors of the couple using one another for fame amid the live broadcast, saying that while “[Whitney Sudler-Smith] thought that” and “[Patricia Altschul] thought that,” they are “not very close to the situation” and that’s simply “not what happened.”
